| Proper Exposure |
A properly exposed image is the key to getting the color consistency in your prints.
|
Photoshop |
| Set Photoshop and/or your digital workflow software to preserve embedded profiles and always save the file with the embedded profile. |
Calibration |
Calibrate you monitor with a colorimeter on a monthly basis. This adjusts and profiles the monitor to a known standard and minimizes the subjective nature of how each individual sees color.
|
MacBeth Color Card |
Shoot a MacBeth color card or gray card before each session. This will provide a reference point to help neutralize color casts in image editing programs like Photoshop.
|
Lighting Condition |
Make sure the lighting conditions at your digital workstation do not change. Changes in the ambient light change the way you see color. Keep bright colors away from your monitor.
|
White Balancing Methods |
Understand the proper white balancing methods of your camera. With Express Digital products, please use sRGB.
|
sRGB Profile |
Set your camera to use either sRGB or Adobe 1998. We recommend sRGB but we can handle any embedded profile.
