What type equipment do you print on?
We use State of the Art digital labs. All of our photos are printed on two Agfa Dlab2 and a Chromira 30. These machines use Lasers or LEDs to expose silver halide paper emulsions. All sizes up to and including 30-inch wide prints are made on the same type of paper, yielding consistent results.

What type of paper do you print on?
We print on Fuji papers and Kodak Metallic.

Is your lab color managed?
Yes. All printers are ICC profiled for predictable and consistent prints between printers. ICC profiles are regularly updated to maintain a high level of consistency.

What profile should I use?
While the choice is yours as long as that profile is embedded in each file, we recommend sRGB. For photographers that want to use Adobe 1998 it is no problem as long as the profile is embedded.

Do I need a copy of your printer profile in order to color manage my files?
No. While our profiles (which we will supply) can be used for soft proofing purposes, we have found it to be unnecessary. If you are working in a known working space, with a color managed monitor, then the image you are adjusting will be able to be printed on any of the color managed printers in our Lab. If you adjust a file for a specific printer, then that image can only be printed on that specific printer.

Can you help me with my color settings?
Yes. Call and ask for Frank Jarboe, Lab Manager or e-mail frank@sbphotomall.com
